Wild Intention

1/2 Day Nature & Meditation Retreat

Often we set intentions and then... life happens.

You get busy, hit a roadblock, or find yourself a little off course from where you'd like to be.

You crave that place inside where your mind is settled and you can hear your intuition loud and clear.

If you are like most of us though, settling the mind and opening to the heart isn't always easy to do. Day to day life keeps rolling on and there are a million distractions and people constantly wanting your attention.

Which is why it is so helpful to escape the city and head into nature.

And if you are local to LA the Angeles Forest is not that far and yet totally gives you that spacious feeling that being among the mountains and trees often does.

What to Expect:

Our day will be spent in the Angeles National Forest.

We will gather at a public campground about 45 minutes from Pasadena and spend the afternoon dropping into a calmer and more settled state through:

  • Sitting and walking meditation

  • Journaling

  • Being in nature

  • Connecting with others around a fire (or glowing lights)

Itinerary

1:00: Arrive, Opening Circle & Connect

2:00: Reflections, Guided Meditation, Walking Meditation

3:00: Reflections, Guided Meditation, Walking Meditation

4:00: Closing Circle & Connect

What You'll Gain:

  • Tangible meditation practices to settle the mind and relax the body

  • Time to journal, reflect, and reconnect to your deepest intentions

  • Cool people to spend the day in nature with doing something good for your mind, body, and soul

Meet Your Guides:

Zoe & Kiki are both avid adventures and have a love for showing people the value that can be found from exploring both our internal & external world.

Meet Zoe..

Zoe Gillis (she/her) is the creator of Wild Minds Mentorship which brings people together in pursuit of self discovery and immersive wilderness experiences.

She is a licensed marriage and family therapist, certified meditation & mindfulness teacher, has a degree in outdoor education and over 15 years experience as a wilderness guide.

Small group experiences are Zoe’s thing. She runs therapy groups, mindfulness groups, backpacking retreats, and drop-in meditation groups. She often talks about the magic that happens when we move beyond 1:1 and engage in personal growth with others. And if that happens in nature, even better!

Meet Kiki

Kiki Williams (she/they) shows up in her life these days as a multi-passionate human being in pursuit of both personal and collective liberation. She is a 500hr registered yoga teacher, meditation practitioner, and deep lover of nature!

While Kiki has primarily engaged in teaching work for the past several years, recently moving back to her native California has enabled her to spend much of her free time hiking, camping, and adventuring in the mountains.

Kiki understands the natural world to be a great healing force, and she aspires to create spaces for others to experience its incredible healing and restorative power. Whether through movement, meditative practice, or simply walking silently through a grove of trees, Kiki believes that freedom and unmitigated joy are available to us in this life.
